How the Caribbean Premier League Points Table Works

Match results are the most important basis for the CPL points table. A side receives two points for a win, and zero points if it loses. If an abandoned match has no result, each side is normally given one point. NRR is then used to separate teams if they finish level on points.

The main columns are:

  • P – Played: Number of league matches completed.
  • W – Won: Matches won.
  • L – Lost: Matches lost.
  • NR – No Result: Matches abandoned or completed without a result.
  • Pts – Points: Points earned from match results.
  • NRR – Net Run Rate: A statistical measure used to separate teams tied on points.

Final Thoughts

The Caribbean Premier League standings from 2013 to 2026 show how competitive the tournament has become. While the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Tridents have been perennial holders in their chase for top slots, other teams like Saint Lucia Kings and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have put together memorable seasons as well. There have been multiple seasons where NRR was the decider, as teams ended the season level on points. The Jamaica Kingsmen join the fold in CPL 2026 to form a new eight-team competition, although for this latest version of the tournament at least, there will remain an updated table.
