Rinku grew up poor. His father was an LPG cylinder delivery man and the family found it difficult to make ends meet. However, Rinku never lost hope and held on to his dream of becoming a professional cricketer. After many hours spent playing in local grounds, he got his break via age-group cricket in Uttar Pradesh. After a number of impressive performances, he soon received selection in the state team, showcasing his love for aggressive left-handed batting.
